The partnership deal between the Ghana Football Association and Melcom Ghana has officially been launched at the office of Melcom Plus in North Kaneshie, Accra.
The deal which was agreed in November last year comes at a time the Ghana FA has been on a speedy branding and marketing spree, securing deals with several corporate organizations.

President of the Ghana FA Kurt Edwin-Simeon Okraku acknowledged the significance of the partnership and how delighted the FA has been in securing the deal.
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA), is pleased to have Melcom Ghana Limited as our new partner,” he said.
“Indeed the Melcom group we have today has gone through some challenging times and are now cruising. It is for this reason why we’re here to partner Melcom to cruise together and also puck up some positive lessons from your experience.
“Today the good things that we started in October 2019 is gaining huge recognition and to have Melcom on board is a huge endorsement,” he added.

Speaking at the event, Director of Communications at Melcom Godwin Avenorgbo insisted they will continue to help in the development of football in the country through some of these strategic partnerships
“We can do more if the GFA is given support by all and sundry to enable it steer the affairs of football in our beloved country and that is what we are committed to do ”.
Melcom Ghana, a retail giant, has been operating in Ghana for more than three decades and now becomes the Official Partner of the GFA.
