Medeama winger Derrek Fordjour has voiced his disappointment after his team’s loss to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League week 11 clash.
The Yellow and Mauves suffered a narrow defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, with Sheriff Mohammed’s strike securing the win for the Porcupine Warriors.
Asante Kotoko was awarded a penalty in the 60th minute, and Sheriff made no mistake, converting from the spot to hand the Ghanaian giants the victory.
Speaking to Kessben FM, monitored by Footballghana.com, the attacker expressed his disappointment following the defeat against Kotoko.
“It’s a painful defeat. We did our best against Asante Kotoko but suffered a painful defeat,” he said.
The CAF Champions League campaigners currently sit in 8th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 16 points after 11 games.
