Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Casemiro is a better player than Thomas Partey.
Casemiro joined the Red Devils during the summer transfer window after a successful spell at Real Madrid where he clinched five Champions League titles.
Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 and has been one of the key players of the club. But Ferdinand believes Casemiro is more suited to the role of holding midfielder than Thomas Partey.
“Partey is a really good player. He’s been really good. He’s not the right player to play holding midfielder for Man Utd. We’re talking about a player with many rungs up, many rungs.
“It’s like saying before we had Fred and McTominay in the CDM position, would you not have taken Partey? Well, yes, I would have, but what does that prove? All I’m saying is we’re talking about Casemiro against Partey, and it’s not a competition.”
Partey has scored one goal for Arsenal so far this season.
