The Board of directors of Asante Kotoko – appointed on May 28th by Otumfour Osei Tutu II – has decided to start with an interim management team as it commences to work towards the realization of the mandate given them.
The board – chaired by Dr. Kwame Kyei – was directed by His Royal Highness to build the Kotoko academy and to rebuild the “bruise” Kotoko brand making it a viable economic institution and the man tasked to lead the start of this all-important project is the former Sports Director of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Joseph Yaw Adu.
“Joseph Yaw Adu started work at the secretariat today. The Board has appointed him as Acting Chief Executive Officer in a five-member Interim Management Committee that includes other Board Members; Kofi Abban, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, Martin Brobbey, lawyer Kwamina Mensah” the club tweeted on Tueday.
It is widely known that 2019 GFA presidential candidate Nana Yaw Amponsah is the front-runner for the big position but appointment of an interim CEO means there are more to be completed behind the scenes.
