Asante Kotoko started the G six tournament on a brilliant note after whipping FA Cup champions Bechem United by three goals to nothing at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Monday evening.
Emmanuel Gyamfi with a magnificent effort shot Kotoko in front in the first Half before striker Obed Owusu who seemed to have found his form slightly doubled the Porcupine warriors lead back from recess.
Bechem United Strikers Ahmed Toure and Abednego Tetteh all failed to find target with the numerous chances they, causing them to lose heavily to Asante Kotoko.
Captain Amos Frimpong excellently converted a spot kick awarded Coach Michael Osei’s side by ref. Issaka Afful to wrap up victory for Kotoko.
Emmanuel Gyamfi who scored first for Kotoko was however adjudged as Man of the match after the entire duration following his impressive performance in the game.
Kotoko next fixture will be against League champions Wa All Stars.
