Asante Kotoko’s hopes of defending their Ghana Premier League title were dealt a blow on Sunday afternoon striker Abednego Tetteh scored a late equalizer to secure a point for Gold Stars in a Week 30 encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors had taken an early lead through Solomon Sarfo Taylor in the 6th minute, but they failed to capitalize on their momentum and paid for it in the second half.
Tetteh’s towering header in added time secured a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams with a point each.
This result leaves Asante Kotoko and Gold Stars out of the top four of the league table.
