Ghanaian teenager Kobbie Mainoo is among a host of U-21 players called into the Manchester United senior team ahead of the Europa League game with Omonia Nicosia at Old Trafford on Thursday.
The Red Devils have a league game against an in form Newcastle United side this weekend and manager Erik Ten Haag is not ready to risk his key players against Omonia.
Kobbie Mainoo, Joel Hugil, Shola Shoretire, Isak Hansen, Sam Murray, Zidane Iqbal, Charlie McNeil and Alejandro Garnacho all trained with the senior side on Wednesday.
Mainoo, 17, has played six games for the Manchester U-21 this season scoring two goals and providing one assist.
