Kelvin Boateng, the Ghanaian forward, continued his scoring streak by finding the net for the second consecutive game, propelling First Vienna to an impressive away victory over FC Flyeralarm Admira.
In the clash held at the Motion Invest Arena on Monday, Boateng, 24, notched his fourth goal in four matches, contributing to First Vienna’s 3-0 triumph.
Boateng’s moment arrived nine minutes into the game when he expertly headed a long ball to Bumbic on the left flank. Bumbic delivered a precise cross, allowing Boateng to return to the center and skillfully head the ball into the far corner, granting First Vienna the lead.
The visiting side solidified their advantage in the 61st minute, courtesy of a goal from midfielder Kai Stratznig. As the match approached its conclusion, German attacker Philipp Ochs, introduced as a second-half substitute, sealed the victory for First Vienna with a stoppage-time goal.
Following Monday’s impressive victory, First Vienna climbed to fourth place in the league standings with 48 points from 29 rounds.
Boateng’s stellar performance this season sees him reach double figures in the Austrian 2. Liga, tallying 10 goals and providing two assists in 24 appearances, with one game remaining.
