Ghana’s Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil has started pre-season training with parent-club KRC Genk in Belgium ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The former Tema Youth player has been a transfer target for top clubs in Turkey after his successful loan spell at MKE Ankaragucu last season.
Paintsil attracted interest from Turkish Super Lig giant Fenarbache and Galatasaray after shining in the 2020-21 Turkish Super Lig with relegated Ankaragucu team.
The 23-year-old attacker has begun pre-season training with Belgium Pro League side KRC Genk despite a lot of interest shown in him by other clubs.
Last season in the Turkish Super Lig, Paintsil bagged 11 goals in 33 appearances for the Blue and Yellows.
Despite starting training with Genk, the Ghanaian is likely to move to a new club by the end of the summer transfer window.
