Ghanaian attacker, Joseph Paintsil scored twice for MKE Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday afternoon.
The former KRC Genk hitman opened his goalscoring account for his new club to help them secure their first league win this season after four games.
Paintsil broke the deadlock of the match on the sixth minutes mark to put the Yellow and Blues 1-0 up after he was perfectly set up by Saba Lobzhanidze to score from the center of the box into top right corner.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian international was at it again ten minutes later and this time with a beautiful header from close range into the back of the net to double Ankaragucu’s advantage on the 16th minutes mark.
Fernando Santos scored a scorcher on the 18th minutes from the left side of the box and straight into the top right corner make the score 1-2 to bring the host back into the game.
Torgeir Borven headed home Ankaragucu’s third goal on the 42nd minutes before Fernando Boldrin’s left footed free kick in the 45th minutes for the host to make the score 2-3 before the break.
Alper Potuk was shown a second yellow card in the game deep into first half added time which resulted into a dismissal and Ankaragucu will play the second half with 10-men.
After the recess, former Chelsea strike Loic Remy scored on the 55th and 62nd minutes from the spot respectively turn the game around for the home team who made the most of their numerical advantage.
Remy completed his his hat-trick on the 78th minutes to make it 5-3 to Rizespor.
Paintsil played 45 minutes and was subbed off after the break and the former Tema Youth star has two goals in three games in the Turkish Super Lig.
