Ghanaian forward jordan ayew maintained his outstanding preseason performance by scoring the decisive goal for Leicester City in a closely fought match against Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg.
The black stars’ captain, who had been on the bench, stepped onto the field and made an immediate impact, scoring in the 70th minute to secure a narrow victory for the team over the weekend. The goal marks Ayew’s second consecutive preseason outing, having previously scored in a 2-1 victory over Belgian side OHL.
Ayew’s latest goal came after a brilliant solo run, as he surged past the zalaegerszeg backline before firing a powerful shot past goalkeeper bence gundel-takacs.
Having recently relocated from the crystal palace, the seasoned Ghanaian international has already demonstrated his potential to be a vital player for Leicester City as they strive to secure promotion back to the premier league.
