Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew says he always thought he was a good finisher but only needed luck to help him shine.
The former Swansea City forward joined Crystal Palace on loan before the start of the 2018/19 season and impressively make 20 appearances for the Club.
He was however, handed a permanent deal before the start of the 2019/20 season following his tremendous performance at the 2019 Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Since then, the 28-old year striker has become a hero in the Palace team, netting 10 goals so far this season to make him the Club’s highest scorer in the Premiership this term.
Ayew has started all but one of their 32 Premier League games this season.
“I’ve always thought that I was a good finisher, but sometimes you just need a bit of luck,” Ayew said in an interview with Sky Sports.
“This year, I’ve had quite a bit of luck, but luck doesn’t just come like that, you need to provoke it. I’ve been working really, really hard on that but there’s still room for improvement.”
The former Aston Villa forward is the highest-scoring Ghanaian in the Premier League with 25 goals, breaking Tony Yeboah’s previous record.
