Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara is bracing for a difficult encounter as his side prepares to face Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League matchday two clash.
The Phobians will travel to the Kpando Stadium on Sunday afternoon, aiming to bounce back from their disappointing start to the season.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ouattara acknowledged the strength of their opponents, Heart of Lions. “It’s a tough match. Heart of Lions is a strong team. We’ve faced them twice in the league since I took charge, and we also played them in the Homowo Cup. Truth be told, they are a strong side,” Ouattara admitted.
Hearts of Oak are eager to improve after suffering a 1-0 defeat to league newcomers Basake Holy Stars in their season opener at the Accra Sports Stadium. The result has put pressure on the Phobians to deliver a much-needed victory.
Meanwhile, Heart of Lions, coming off a hard-fought 1-1 away draw against Aduana Stars, will be aiming to secure their first win of the campaign as they welcome Hearts of Oak to Kpando.
Both teams are poised for a fiercely contested battle as they seek to gain momentum in the early stages of the season.
