Former Ghana coach Chris Hughton has praised Mohammed Kudus’ summer transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, calling it an “excellent signing” for both the player and the club.
The 25-year-old midfielder joined Spurs from West Ham United in a £55 million deal, and although he has scored just once in 17 appearances across all competitions, Hughton believes the Ghanaian is settling well in North London.
Speaking to Flashscore, Hughton said: “I think it was an excellent signing. The deal for Kudus made a lot of sense, especially from a financial perspective. Tottenham needed a player of his profile. It’s a big stadium, a big stage in England, and he’s started his Tottenham career very well. He fits seamlessly into a system that favours crosses into the box.”
Kudus recently returned from injury in the North London derby against Arsenal and is expected to feature in Tottenham’s upcoming clash with Fulham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
