Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Zubairu has expressed his gratitude to the fans of Partizan Belgrade for their support following an injury he sustained during the Serbian Superliga match against Radnicki over the weekend.
Zubairu, who was in excellent form for the Black and White, had to be substituted in the 35th minute due to a severe ankle injury. The former Ghana U20 star was replaced by Joh Youngjun as he limped off the field.
The talented forward has since undergone successful surgery and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. In a message to fans, Zubairu reassured them of his recovery and thanked them for their kind words.
“Hello, Grobari! Thank you for your messages and support. The surgery was successful, I’m feeling good now, and I’ll come back stronger than ever! Love you all!” he said.
Since joining Partizan last summer, Zubairu has been in sensational form, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists in 26 appearances. Despite his impressive performances, he has yet to earn a call-up to the Ghana national team, the Black Stars.
