Former Asante Kotoko SC midfielder, Emmanuel Sarkodie says he really wanted to prove himself against the unbeaten Ghana Premier League side on Sunday.
Sarkodie was sent on loan to City rivals Kumasi King Faisal FC but cannot play against the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday due to the clause in his contract.
According to him, missing the top of the league table clash on Sunday is a big blow to him to miss the game because he was really determined and wanted to prove a point to Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
“It’s a big blow, I wanted to prove to the coach and the fans that I can play, I am really disappointed, it pains me a lot, but all the same is good and I’m much confident that my teammates will secure all the points for us”. he said.
King Faisal are second on the league table after five matches in the Ghana Premier League with 10 points and three points behind leader Asante Kotoko.
