Asante Kotoko’s new recruit, Ndongani Samba Gilbani O’Neil, has made a bold claim, likening his playing style to that of former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
The highly-rated defender has joined the Ghanaian giants on a two-year contract, which will keep him at the club until 2026.
Speaking to the club’s media, Samba revealed that people have often compared him to Ramos due to their similar playing style.
“I play like Sergio Ramos. People used to call me Sergio Ramos because they believe I play just like him. I will just prove it on the pitch,” he said.
Ndongani is the fourth signing for Asante Kotoko in the off-season, following Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and Yoouef Yagoub.
The Porcupine Warriors are looking to revamp their squad after a disappointing performance last term, finishing sixth in the league.
