Ghana international, Andre Ayew says he is optimistic he will learn great things under the management of former Barcelona midfielder, Xavi Hernandez following his transfer to Qatari side Al Sadd.
Xavi has been in the dugouts for Al Sadd following his decision to hang up his boots after playing for the club in four years.
Following the completion of his move to the gulf club, Andre Ayew says he looks forward to learning from the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner with Spain.
“Xavi is a great coach,” the 31-year-old at his unveiling.
“He is coaching one of the best clubs in the Gulf after playing here for four years. I have followed Al Sadd and seen the development in the team’s performance. I expect to learn a lot from him.”
Ayew is expected to play a key role for Al Sadd when the season resumes for the 2021/22 campaign.
