English born Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng was on the score sheet for MK Dons on Tuesday night as they defeated Wycombe Wanderers by two goals to one in the Papa John’s trophy competition
Boateng who has been in fine form for the League 1 side since his return from loan at Cambridge opened the scoring in the fourth minute when he tucked home a Mo Eisa right wing cross.
Brandon Hanlan converted from six yards to pull even for Wanderers three minutes later before Zak Jules netted what proved to be the winner in the 64th minute.
Boateng provided cover for the MK Dons back four and often accelerated forward through the middle to join the attack.
The former Crystal Palace enforcer has now netted four goals in twelve appearances in all competitions so far this season.
