Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak risk being dragged to FIFA by Ivorian Ligue 2 side Lanfiara Sport Attécoubé over an unpaid transfer fee for striker Kassim Cisse, according to local media reports.
The Accra-based club is alleged to have defaulted on a $10,000 payment owed to Lanfiara Sport Attécoubé following the signing of the Ivorian forward in 2023. Kumasi-based Silver FM/TV reports that Hearts of Oak have yet to settle the outstanding amount, despite having acquired Cisse two years ago.
With FIFA expected to be involved in the matter, Hearts of Oak could face sanctions from world football’s governing body if they fail to honor their contractual obligations.
Cisse, 21, has officially left the Phobians following the expiration of his two-year contract. In the ongoing 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season, he made 17 appearances and scored three goals before his departure.
