Accra Hearts of Board Members have released a letter confirming the appointment of a new Managing Director.
“The Board of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited has appointed Mr Delali Anku-Adiahma as the club’s Managing Director. His appointment takes immediate effect.
His appointment comes as a shock as fans did not expect the appointment of a Managing Director anytime soon because all their efforts for one have been unsuccessful.
“Mr Delali holds a PhD in Computational Systems Biology from the University of Manchester, UK, and BSC in Computer Science in Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK amongst many other qualifications,” disclosed the club.
“He previously worked at the finance department of Manchester United, Accenture as the Technology Consultant Manager, Markit as PV, Professional Services CodeRed RMS, Factset, as a Senior Implementation Specialist, and Autonomy, an HP company as the Technical Specialist (Pre-sale). He also worked at several reputable companies at the management level”, added Hearts of Oak Board.
The newly appointed Managing Director has a very rich CV as he has worked with the Finance Department of Manchester United. His leadership is expected to help Accra Hearts of Oak look very good financially.
“We implore all Phobians to offer him maximum support during his stay at the club to lead us to achieve pre-eminence,” concluded the Phobia Board.
Hearts of Oak pleaded with their fans to give him their full support as he is the man charged with leading the revival of the beleaguered Hearts of Oak.
The newly appointed Managing Director’s job description includes setting goals and objectives for the club. He is also expected to develop business plans and strategies for the club.
Phobia fans at the Abrankese staged a mini-demonstration pleading for the appointment of a Managing Director before, during and after a 1-1 draw against Nations FC. The request has been granted by the Board.
Hearts of Oak have been extremely poor in the ongoing Ghana Premier League. The Phobians occupy 11th position after winning 21 points from 17 matches.
