Accra Hearts of Oak have shown strong interest in signing in Asante Kotoko reject Evans Quao.
The 27-year old is among five players asked by the porcupine warriors to leave ahead of the start of the new season.
Quao has emerged as a top transfer target for Hearts.
According to Nhyira Fm, talks has started between the former Medeama player and Hearts as they look to strike a deal in the next coming days.
The reports also indicated that, the player is set to meet the six-member recruitment committee this week after officials of Hearts inquired of his availability.
Quao may become a first major signing for the Phobians as they prepare for the 2017/18 football season.
