Ghanaian winger Callum-Hudson Odoi revealed that German midfielder Kai Havertz convinced him to make the move from Chelsea to Bayer Leverkusen.
Hudson-Odoi has secured a season-long loan deal with the German side as he looks to get himself in tip top shape for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
He only played a small role at Chelsea during his time with the senior side.
“Kai Havertz only told me good things about Bayer 04 in the Chelsea dressing room,” he told the club’s official website.
The 21-year-old will wear the number 17 shirt after completing the move. His new club, Leverkusen will also be competing in this season’s UEFA Champions League tournament.
