Chairperson for the Ghana Women’s league, Hilary Boateng has heaped praise on Hasaacas Ladies for the effort in the last year.
The Hasmal Ladies after winning the double in Ghana also went ahead to win the WAFU Zone B championship which earned them a ticket to represent Ghana in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Yusif Basigi’s side is in the final where they will play South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in an intriguing fixture.
And ahead of the, Hilary Boateng has commended the Sekondi-based club for their hard work.
“The ladies deserves special package because they have done great work,I think this is the time we need to give an attention to Women’s Football because if we support them they will always raise the flag of Ghana high,” she said in an interview with West FM.
Boateng also believes Hasaacas Ladies are going to win the first title of the Champions League as she had predicted before their departure for the tournament.
“Before they left the country I had an interview and told everyone that Haasacars Ladies will take the trophy and indeed they are on course, I’m happy to see how they are performing though their final game will be tough but I believe in coach Basigi that on Friday he will guide the ladies to win the trophy,” she added.
The final of the competition is scheduled for Friday, November 19.
