Asante Kotoko heacd coach Mariano Barreto needed to travel to Portugal to renew his UEFA Pro coaching licence but has now returned to Kumasi ahead of the Aduana Stars – Kotoko Ghana Premier League game on Sunday as announced by the Porcupine Warriors.
“Our Head Coach ,Mariano Barreto departs to his country Portugal and returns on 27th May 2021. The short trip is necessary to aid our gaffer renew his UEFA Pro coaching license. Assistant Coach Pedro Manual will take charge of the team in the intervening period.” a club statement said on May 23rd.
The club tweeted his arrival at 15 : 31 GMT on May 27th exactly as they said in their 23rd May release.
Kotoko are joint top of the Premier League table with rivals Hearts of Oak – both teams on 46 points but the Phobians are top based on superior goal difference.
