Medeama SC, the reigning Ghanaian champions, has successfully secured the services of accomplished defender Richard Akrofi.
The experienced defender completed a mandatory medical examination and subsequently signed a one-year contract with Medeama.
Akrofi, formerly with Nsoatreman FC, has now joined the ranks of the Ghana Premier League champions. He had previously signed a two-year deal with Nsoatreman FC in August 2022 after departing from King Faisal Football Club.
Having honed his skills at clubs like Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities FC), Hearts of Oak, and King Faisal Football Club, Akrofi brings valuable experience to Medeama’s defense.
His arrival is anticipated to bolster Medeama’s defensive line ahead of the 2023/24 CAF Champions Cup campaign. The Tarkwa-based club is set to face Nigeria’s Remo Stars in the first preliminary round of the prestigious competition.
