Dutch-born Ghanaian international Myron Boadu is excited after helping AZ Alkmaar beat BK Hacken to kick them out of the the 2019/2020 Europa League preliminary round.
Boadu, 18 was delight to watch with his scintillating performance as he scored a goal and provided two incredible assists to help Alkmaar wallop the Swedish outfit away at the Bravida Arena on Thursday night.
The highly-talented teen, scored on the 42nd minute before Calvin Stengs and Oussama Iddrisi scored on the 56th and 66th minute respectively to seal a 3-0 victory for the Dutch side.
“I think they (BK Hacken) are a good team with many good players. I am very happy to have scored one goal and two assists. It was good for us. But the most fun thing was that it went so well for the team. We made a good effort and went on to win,” Boadu said as quoted by fotbollskanalen.
“There are things to grind on in the game. I’m not lazy, but sometimes it feels like I’m waiting for the ball too long instead of running and taking it. I need to change that.”
The youngster further mentioned that he believes in his qualities and wants to score more goals.
“I believe in the team and the team believes in me. I want to score a lot of goals for the team this year.”
Boadu, born to Ghanaian parentage in Amsterdam currently features for the Under 19 team of the Dutch.
