Danish-born Ghanaian winger Osman Addo played a crucial role in Boldklubben af 1893’s (B.93) 2-1 win against FC Roskilde in the Danish second tier.
The 20-year-old Addo scored a stunning goal to give B.93 an early lead, which proved to be the difference maker in the match.
Addo’s strike came after he spun through the FC Roskilde defense and delivered a well-placed shot at the near post, putting his team ahead just a few minutes into the game. FC Roskilde responded quickly, equalizing five minutes later, but B.93 regained the lead before halftime thanks to an error from FC Roskilde.
The first half was filled with chances for both teams, but it was a defensive mistake from FC Roskilde that ultimately led to B.93’s second goal. Emeka Nnamani intercepted the ball and set up Fisnik Isaki for an easy finish, giving B.93 a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The win adds three valuable points to B.93’s tally, which now stands at four points after two games. The team will look to build on this momentum in their next match against Vendsyssel FF on August 2nd.
