Ghanaian forward Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere was on the scoresheet for Zhejiang Professional in their away defeat to Tianjin Jinmen Tiger in the Chinese Super League.
The Dutch-born Ghanaian was replaced on stoppage time as his team succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at the TEDA Football Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Owusu-Sekyere’s goal was not enough to secure a win for his team, as they were unable to overcome the deficit left by the home team.
Andrea Compagno, an Italy international, scored twice in the 27th and 39th minute mark to give Tianjin Jinmen Tiger a commanding lead at halftime.
After the break, Zhejiang Professional pulled one back through Leonardo’s goal in the 61st minute, but two minutes later, Albion Adem sealed victory for the home team. Owusu-Sekyere managed to score again in the 65th minute, but it was too little, too late for his team.
The 24-year-old has now scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in the ongoing Chinese Super League campaign.
