Highly-rated Ghanaian teenager Mike Aidoo made his long-awaited debut for Italian football giants Inter Milan on the weekend, playing a crucial role in their 3-0 thrashing of Spanish outfit Las Palmas in a preseason friendly game.
The 19-year-old made a substitute appearance in the 82nd minute, replacing defender Yann Aurel Bisseck, as Inter Milan cruised to an emphatic win. Aidoo’s introduction to the game marked a significant milestone in his career, having trained with the first team last season while playing in the Italian Primavera1 youth league.
Reflecting on his experience, Aidoo expressed his gratitude and excitement, saying, “It was a very unique moment, something you always dream about, and thanks to God I had the opportunity to get on the field and share it with big players.” He also praised manager Simone Inzaghi, describing him as “a really good coach who motivates you to do well and just says to play how you do and be concentrated all the time.”
Aidoo’s impressive debut has raised hopes that he could become a key player for Inter Milan in the future.
