Ghanaian forward Michael Folivi has moved to English side Farnborough FC from English South Conference League team Chelmsford FC.
The former Watford striker has signed a one-year deal after impressing in the previous season.
The 25-year-old was in great form for Chelmsford FC last season and has been a key player despite battling with injuries. His performances caught the eye of many but it was Farnborough FC who won the race for his signature.
He managed to score six goals in 15 matches following his injury recovery. His transfer is a testament to his hard work and dedication in the lower-tier leagues in England.
Manager Spencer Day couldn’t hold back his excitement at the signing: “Wow, just wow!
“Buzzing to get Michael! A pacy striker who scored regularly in the EFL before a shocking injury.
“As he showed at the end of last season, including against us, what a striker he is… and with Alfie [Pavey] has the real prospects of a lethal partnership.”
“I’ve no doubt he won’t be with us long and thrilled he chose us after a great conversation.
“Thanks to his agents too who appreciate what Boro can offer Michael on his path forward whilst being fantastic for us”
After signing on the dotted line, Michael told the club’s official website: “It all picked up on Saturday to be fair.
“I had a great conversation with the Gaffer and he sold it to me.
“I played against yourselves last year and other than getting the two goals, it was a tough fixture.
“I see myself kicking on from here and doing good things for the Club. We’ve both got the same vision and that’s obviously to succeed.
