Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban delivered a strong performance for Genoa on Friday night, playing a key role in their 1-1 draw against Cagliari in the Italian Serie A.
The former Black Stars attacker started for his side in the Round 28 fixture at the Unipol Domus, where Genoa aimed to secure crucial points.
Cagliari took the lead before halftime, with Nicolas Viola finding the net after being set up by Roberto Piccoli. Despite Genoa’s attacking efforts, they went into the break trailing.
However, just two minutes into the second half, Ekuban made his mark by assisting Maxwell Cornet, who calmly slotted home to level the score.
Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the remaining minutes, but neither could break the deadlock, resulting in a shared point at full time.
With this latest contribution, Ekuban now has one goal and three assists in 13 Serie A appearances this season.
