Ghanaian players Abroad Wrap: Acheampong, Tekpetey, Ashimeru on target as Joseph Paintsil shines in Belgium

Winger Frank Acheampong perpetuated his imperious scoring form in China by scoring again while attacker Bernard Tekpetey netted his fourth goal of the campaign in Germany.

Former Inter Milan and Genoa starlet Said Ahmed Said netted for Hajduk Split in Croatia while former Ghana Premier League star Majeed Ashimeru netted for St Gallen in Switzerland.

There were goals for Immanuelson Duku, Kevin Lokko, Mohammed Muntari, and Mohammed Abubakari.

Emmanuel Oti assisted twice in Denmark while Bennard Kumordzi made suspension return in Belgium.

ENGLAND

Watford crashed relegation candidates Huddersfield 3-0. German-born Ghanaian attacker Collin Quanerreturned from injury but warmed the bench for Huddersfield.

Striker Jordan Ayew lasted 65 minutes for Crystal Palace in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal. Jeffrey Schluppwas unused by the host.

Defender Daniel Amartey was in action for Leicester City in their 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

Bournemouth posted a 3-0 win over Fulham at the Craven Cottage. Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Belgian-born Denis Odoi both played 90 minutes for the losers.

Winger Christian Atsu came off the bench in the 80th minute to play the last 10 minutes of normal time for winless Newcastle United in their 0-0 draw at Southampton.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah was not part of the Aston Villa side that slipped to a 1-0 loss against QPR.

Swansea City defeated Reading 2-0. Ghana international defender Andy Kyere Yiadom played 90 minutes for Reading.

Norway international of Ghanaian descent Alexander Tettey captained Norwich to victory when they beat Brentford 1-0.

In the League One, striker Kwesi Appiah was in action for 65 minutes for Wimbledon in their 2-0 home loss against Luton Town.

Former Arsenal youth midfielder Abumere Ogogo came off the bench in the 65th minute to play for Coventry City in their 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers.

Charlton Athletic suffered a 1-0 loss at Rochdale. English-born Ghanaian Tariq Fosu came off the bench in the second-half to play for the Addicks.

Elsewhere in the League Two, former Crystal Palace youth team midfielder Hiram Boateng missed out of Exeter City’s 2-1 home loss to Forest Green.

Alex Addai warmed the bench for Cheltenham Town in their 2-1 home loss to Stevenage.

In the National League, Dutch-born Immanuelson Duku scored for Barnet in their 2-0 away win at Barrow.

Defender Kevin Lokko scored the consolation goal for Dover Athletic in their 2-1 loss at Braintree.

DuoHarold Odametey and Nana Owusu were in the Maidenhead team that suffered a heavy 6-0 home loss to AFC Fylde.

Meanwhile in the Premier League 2, Leicester City U23 posted a 3-0 win over West Ham United U23. Forward Sean Adarkwa was in action for the Hammers while former Wa All Stars goalie Joseph Tetteh Anang warmed their bench.

Both Tariq Lamptey and Richard Nartey played for Chelsea U23 in their 3-2 home loss against Brighton U23.

Arsenal managed a 1-1 draw at Swansea City. Ghanaian Edward Nketiah lasted the entire 90 minutes for the young Gunners but defender Jordi Osei-Tutu missed out of the squad.

Former Borussia Dortmund starlet Gabriel Kyeremateng lasted 57 minutes for Stoke U23 in their 2-1 loss against Reading U23.

In the U18 Premier League, Middlesbrough managed a 2-1 away win over West Bromwich Albion. English-born Ghanaian Harold Essien warmed the bench for the winners.

NETHERLANDS

Johnathan Opoku Agyemang played 90 minutes for VVV Venlo when they drew 1-1 with Emmen with 10 men.

Defender Robin Polley warmed the bench for ADO Den Haag in their 1-1 draw with NAC Breda. Polley is the son of former Asante Kotoko player Prince Polley.

Graafschap posted a 4-1 win over Excelsior Rotterdam. Dutch-born Ghanaian Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for the winners.

Cordy Gakpo watched from the PSV Eindhoven bench as they managed a 2-1 away win over FC Groningen.

Injured Myron Boadu missed AZ Alkmaar’s 3-2 loss against Heerenveen.

FC Volendam claimed a 3-1 win over Jong Ajax. Dutch-born Ghanaian Rodney Antwi played in offensive midfield for the winners.

Almere City were 1-0 losers at the hands of FC Twente. Dutch-born Ghanaian Kevin Luckassen played 90 minutes for the losers.

In the third-tier league, striker Felicia Lovette Ofori warmed the bench for VVSB in their 3-0 away loss to HFC.

Both Haji Adoma and Alfred Mensah were both in action for Jong Almere City in their 4-0 home defeat against HHF.

SPAIN

Valladolid and Espanyol shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw on Friday at the Estadio José Zorrilla. Ghanaian youth defender Mohammed Salisu missed the game with injury.

Inaki Williams was introduced in the second-half in their 0-0 draw with Valencia on Saturday.

Levante silenced Leganes after beating them 2-0. Black Stars attacker Emmanuel Boateng came off the bench to play for Levante but Raphael Dwamena was axed from the squad.

Midfielder Wakaso Mubarak played 82 minutes for Deportivo Alaves in their 2-1 win over Villarreal on Sunday. Patrick Twumasi missed out of the Alaves squad with ankle injury.

Midfielder Thomas Partey warmed the Atletico Madrid bench in their 2-0 win against Real Sociedad on Saturday at the Wonda Metropolitano.

In the Segunda Division, Real Mallorca drew 2-2 with Las Palmas on Saturday. Youngster Baba Mohammed Iddrisu missed out of the Mallorca squad with suspension.

Richard Boateng was unused by Real Oviedo in their 2-1 loss at Gimnastic.

AUSTRIA

Defender Seth Paintsil was in action for Admira in their 2-0 away loss to Rapid Vienna.

Attacker Samuel Tetteh was introduced in the 92nd minute by LASK Linz in their 3-3 draw with Red Bull Salzburg.

Striker Felix Adjei came off the bench in the 63rd minute to play for Wattens in their 2-0 away win over Amstetten.

Striker Paul Mensah scored for Kapfenberg when theu won 2-0 against Neustadt on Saturday.

Former WAFA defender Gideon Mensah was in action for Liefering in their 3-1 home loss to Floridsdorfer AC.

Former WAFA Kennedy Boateng played in central defence for Ried in their 1-0 loss to Austria Lustenau on Sunday.

BELGIUM

Gent made it two wins out of two after beating Sporting Charleroi 2-1 at the Ghelamco Arena. Ghanaian defender Nana Kwasi Asare was booked in the 83rd minute and played 90 minutes in their win.

Midfielder Bennard Kumordzi made a return from suspension to warm the bench for Kortrijk when they drew 1-1 with Cercle Brugge.

Pint-size Samuel Asamoah was in action for St Truiden in their 2-2 draw with Club Brugge.

Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Paintsil both played for Genk when they drew 1-1 with Standard Liege at their home grounds.

KAS Eupen won 2-1 against an out-of-sought Anderlecht side and Ghanaian duo of Dauda Mohammed and Francis Amuzu played for Anderlecht but French-born Dennis Appiah was unused while Eric Ocanseycame off the bench to play for Eupen. Meanwhile Ghana U20 goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen could not make the winners’ squad for the game.

FC Antwerp won 1-0 against Waasland-Beveren and Ghanaian winger Nana Opoku Ampomah played for Waasland while Daniel Opare was unused. William Owusu Acheampong was introduced in the second half by the winners.

In the second-tier league, Kamal Sowah missed Leuven’s 3-1 loss at Beerschot Wilrijk on Friday.

Both Ernest Agyiri and Divine Naah were in the Tubize team for their 3-2 loss at St. Gilloise.

BULGARIA

Former Tema Youth and Ghana U20 midfielder Derrick Mensah was unused by Dunav Ruse when they lost 3-2 against Cherno More.

Black Stars winger Edwin Gyasi came off the CSKA Sofia bench to play in their 1-1 drawn game on Saturday.

Ishmael Baidu played on the flanks for Septemvri Sofia when Ludogorets hammered them 4-1.

FRANCE

In the Ligue 1, Nantes won 2-1 at Amiens on Saturday. Enock Kwateng started the game and was booked in the first-half whilst Majeed Waris was introduced in the 84th minute.

Sochaux suffered a 3-0 home loss against Niort. French-born Ghanaian Elisha Owusu lasted the entire period of the game for the losers who also had Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati on their bench.

Meanwhile at the Stade du Hainaut, Nancy managed a 1-1 draw at Valenciennes. Former Right to Dream Academy defender Emmanuel Ntim could not make the Valenciennes squad for the game.

Defender John Boye was a pillar at the back for ten-man Metz in their 0-0 draw with Lorient.

Le Havre managed a 2-1 win over Lens. Former Liberty Professionals and Ghana U20 attacker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to play for the winners while Lens introduced Ghanaian Grejohn Kyei in the 46th minute.

POLAND

33-year-old Ghanaian defender Frank Adu Kwame warmed the Legnica when they were whipped 5-0 at Slask Wroclaw.

PORTUGAL

In the Primeira Liga, former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackman warmed the bench for Portimonense when they claimed a 1-0 win over Nacional at their own backyard.

Guimaraes and Braga drew 1-1 in a home fixture. Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso played 90 minutes for Guimaraes.

Black Stars lateral defender Lumor Agbenyenu is still without competitive action since the start of the season as he was left out of the Sporting squad for their 3-0 battering of Boavista.

Famalicao finished off Porto B after beating them 4-2 in the second-tier league. Ghanaian Koffi Kouao still remain without action for the opening games of the season.

Young forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu came off the bench to play for Guimaraes B in their 1-0 home defeat handed them by Ferreira. Paul Ayongo was unused but Osei Barnes was introduced in the second-half.

ROMANIA

U Craiova 1948 CS climbed third on the log after beating Astra Giurgui 3-0. Former Inter Milan player Isaac Donkor played in central defence in a three back system for the winners.

Poli Iasi suffered a 2-0 home loss against FC Hermannstadt. Former Dreams FC attacker Lawson Bekuicame off the bench in the 62nd minute to play for the losers.

Former Ebusua Dwarfs striker Richard Gadze was in action for Voluntari when they lost 2-1 against FCSB.

Winger Joseph Mensah lasted 74 minutes for Sespi in their 2-1 loss to CFR Cluj on Sunday.

GERMANY

Hertha Berlin applied the brakes on Borussia Dortmund after holding them to a 2-2 draw. Dutch-born Ghana-pursuit Derrick Luckassen warmed the bench for Hertha.

Youngster John Yeboah warmed the Wolfsburg bench in their 3-0 away win over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Augsburg managed a 2-1 away win at Hannover 96. Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Kevin Danso came off the Augsburg in the 75th minute to play for the victors.

Issah Abass could not make the Mainz 05 squad in their 2-1 home loss against Bayern Munich.

Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu was left out of the Hoffenheim squad that won 4-0 against ten man Stuttgart side. 20-year-old Hans Sarpei Nunoo was introduced in the 56th minute by Stuttgart.

Defender Baba Rahman was not part of the Schalke 04 side that managed a 0-0 draw at Red Bull Leipzeig.

In the Bundesliga II, Dynamo Dresden managed to hold Union Berlin to a 0-0 draw. Ghanaian forward Erich Berko came off the bench in the 88th minute to play for Dynamo.

Meanwhile towering center-back Christopher Avevor played for St Pauli in their 1-0 home loss to Holstein Kiel.

Paderborn and SV Sandhausen shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw on Saturday. Ghanaian attacker Bernard Tekpetey scored for Paderborn while Chris Antwi-Antwi came off the bench to play for Paderborn.

Ex-Ghana U20 midfielder David Atanga came off the bench in the 57th minute to play for Greuther Furth in their 2-0 loss against SV Darmstadt 98.

In the Liga 3, Mike Owusu came off the bench to play the last 12 minutes of normal time for Sonnenhof Großaspach when they held 1860 Munich to a 2-2 drawn game.

Wehen split points with FSV Zwickau in a 0-0 draw. Accra-born attacking midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyerehplayed for Wehen.

Hansa Rostock defeated Fortuna Koln 3-1. Ghanaian Kyere Mensah played 80 minutes for Koln while his Ghanaian compatriot Kwame Yeboah came off the bench in the 70th minute to play for them. Meanwhile Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh lasted 70 minutes for Rostock.

Hallescher FC won 2-1 against Würzburger Kickers. Ghanaian Braydon Manu played 90 minutes for the winners.

Ghanaian defender Stephan Nkansah was in action for Eintracht Braunschweig in their 4-3 loss against VfL Osnabrück.

In the Regionalliga, 18-year-old Ghanaian Perry Ofori came off the bench to play for Eintracht Stadtallendorf in their 2-1 win over Mainz 05.

FC Koln II slipped to a 3-2 loss against Fortuna Düsseldorf II. Ghanaian Gabriel Boakye played 90 minutes for Koln while Kwadwo Leroy also played for the winners.

In the U19 League, FC Heidenheim and Mainz 05 drew 0-0. 18-year-old Ghanaian Andrew Owusu played for FC Heidenheim.

Philip Aboagye helped Bochum to a 3-1 away win over MSV Duisburg on Saturday.

ITALY

Kevin-Prince Boateng crawled off the bench to score the leveller for Sassuolo in their 2-2 draw with Bologna. Alfred Duncan missed the game with injury while Godfred Donsah did not make the trip with Bologna.

Black Stars defender Nicholas Opoku played in a 3-man defence for Udinese in their 2-2 draw with Genoa. Injured Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu watched the game from the screens.

Frosinone claimed their first win of the season after beating Spal 3-0. Ghanaian midfielder Raman Yussif Chibsah scored for the winners but youngster Prince Emmanuel Besea was unused.

Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah was impressive for Empoli in their 2-1 home loss against leaders Juventus. He played an influential role in the opening goal.

In the Serie B, former Inter Milan defender Bright Gyamfi played for Benevento in their 2-1 home win over Cremonese.

Defender Bright Addae was a benchwarmer for Ascoli in their 1-0 loss at Livorno.

Emmanuel Gyasi lasted 72 minutes for Spezia in their 0-0 away draw with Padova.

CROATIA

Ghanaian midfielder Obeng Regan was in action for Istra 1961 when they drew 1-1 with Osijek in the HNL.

Hajduk Split and Rijeka split points in a 1-1 draw on Sunday. Attacker Said Ahmed Said scored from the spot and lasted 70 minutes for Split while Maxwell Acosty was introduced in the 46th minute by Rijeka.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Sparta Prague suffered a 1-0 away loss to Zlin. Striker Benjamin Tetteh was introduced in the 61st minute by the losers.

Opava disgraced Pribram with a heavy 5-0 beating. Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Antwi was introduced in the 55th minute by the losers.

Ex-Dreams FC midfielder Bashiru Alhassan warmed the bench for Sparta Prague U21 in their 2-1 win over Hradec Kralove U21.

DENMARK

Horsens and Nordsjaelland played a pulsating 3-3 draw in the Danish Superliga on Saturday. Godsway Donyoh played 87 minutes for Nordsjaelland. Kudus Mohammed and Clinton Antwi were named on the visitors bench.

American-born Ghanaian Emmanuel Sabbi lasted 83 minutes for Hobro as they defeated Vejle 1-0 on Sunday.

Ex-Sporting Braga midfielder Emmanuel Oti assisted the second goal for Esbjerg and lasted 75 minutes in their 2-0 win over Randers FC.

FINLAND

Champions HJK Helsinki consigned TPS to a 4-0 home defeat and Ghanaian Anthony Annan played in midfield for the run-away champions while Evans Mensah warmed their bench.

Former Inter Allies defender Baba Mensah watched from the Ilves bench as Rovaniemi pipped them 1-0.

Midfielder Reuben Ayarna played for KuPS and helped them to a 2-1 win over Mariehamn.

In the second-tier league Quincy Osei was in action for 46 minutes for KTP in their 3-0 away loss at KPV Kokkola.

GREECE

Lamia posted a 2-1 win over Levadiakos in the Super League on Saturday. Ghanaian Mark Asigba played for the winners. Abdul Osman was introduced in the 79th minute by the winners of the clash.

HUNGARY

German-born Ghanaian midfielder Reagy Ofosu was introduced in the 65th minute by Haladas in their 1-0 home loss to Honved.

KAZAKHSTAN

Zhetysu Taldykorgan drew 0-0 with Atyrau. Ghanaian international David Mawutor was not part of the Zhetysu squad for the game.

MALTA

Forward Gabriel Mensah lasted 78 minutes for Pieta Hotspurs in their 2-1 win at Floriana in the Premier League.

MEXICO

Former Ghana U20 starlet Clifford Aboagye was introduced to play the last minutes of the game for Atlas in their 2-2 draw at Necaxa in the top-flight.

MONTENEGRO

Midfielder Alex Yamoah was in action for 62 minutes for Zeta in their 1-0 win over OFK Titograd on Saturday.

NORWAY

Stromsgodset defeated Valerenga 2-0 at their own backyard. Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey was in action for Valerenga but Mohammed Abu could not make the squad for the game.

Midfielder Gilbert Koomson played as a forward in a 3-man frontline for Brann when giants Rosenborg BK defeated them 2-1.

Elsewhere in the second-tier league on Sunday, striker Dennis Agyare Antwi warmed the bench for Asane in their 2-1 win over Floro.

Finnish-born Solomon Duah was not selected by Levanger for their 3-0 home loss against Notodden.

In the third-tier league, former Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo was on the Bryne bench in their 5-4 win over Valerenga 2.

QATAR

Mohammed Muntari scored from the spot for Al Ahli Doha in their 4-1 win over Al Sadd. 2009 Ghana U20 attacker John Benson was also in action for the winners while Bebo Barro warmed the bench.

Um-Salal managed to hold Al-Shahaniya to a 1-1 draw on Saturday in the Star League. Ghanaian pair ofLawrence Awuley and Mohammed Kasola played for Salal.

RUSSIA

Former AshantiGold defender Kadri Mohammed was impressive in midfield for Arsenal Tula in their 2-2 draw with Orenburg.

Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed played in a 5-man backline for Anzi Makhackala in their 1-0 loss against ten-man FK Rostov.

Midfielder Aziz Tetteh flourished in midfield for Dinamo Moscow in their 0-0 draw at Akhmat Grozny.

SCOTLAND
Former Ajax Amsterdam youth team product Prince Buaben Abankwa played for Falkirk in their 2-0 loss at Queen of the South.

Danny Amankwaa came off the bench as early as the 8th minute to play for Hearts as they suffered a 3-0 loss against Celtic in the Cup game.

SERBIA

Former Techiman City striker Francis Kyeremeh came off the bench to play for Radnik in their 1-0 win over Cukaricki. Striker Samuel Owusu was in action for the losers.

Attacker Suraka Zakaria was in action for Dinamo Vranje in their 2-0 loss at Vojvodina.

Red Star Belgrade defeated Macva 2-0 and Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila warmed their bench but Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was not part of the squad for the game.

Former Hearts of Oak attacker Samuel Afum could not make the Sp. Subotica squad for their 2-1 defeat at Mladost.

SLOVAKIA

Osman Bukari was not in the Trencin team when they suffered a 1-0 loss at Ruzomberok on Saturday in the Fortuna Liga.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau was in action for Slovan Bratislava in their 2-0 away victory over Podbrezova.

Former Vision FC attacker Saddam Sulley was in action for Michalovce when they won 2-0 against Dun Streda.

Defender Benson Anang overly impressed for Zilina in their 2-0 away win over Nitra.

Patrick Asmah played in midfield for Senica when they drew 0-0 with Sered.

SLOVENIA 

Midfielder Dickson Afoakwa played for Triglav as they lost 2-1 against Celje in the top-flight league.

Both Emmanuel Boakye and Kingsley Boateng were in the NK Olimpija Ljubljana side that defeated leaders Maribor 2-1 at their own backyard.

SOUTH AFRICA

Midfielder Samuel Darpoh lasted just the opening 45 minutes for AmaZulu in their 3-0 heavy loss at Cape Town City in the PSL.

Polokwane City FC won 1-0 against Maritzburg United. Brave goalkeeping by Maritzburg’s Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori kept the score level at halftime, with Walter Musona in particular testing the visitors’ gloveman with several goal-bound efforts. He was booked in the 61st minute.

Former Liberty Professionals left-back Richard Kissi-Boateng warmed the bench for SuperSport United in their 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows.

SWEDEN

Ghanaian pair of Frank Arhin and Sam Mensiro both started the game for Ostersunds in their 4-2 loss against Norrkoping. Patrick Kpozo came off the bench to play for the losers.

Dalkurd were hammered 5-0 by BK Hacken in the Allsvenskan. Ghanaian midfielder Nasiru Mohammedmissed the game with injury.

In the Superettan Mohammed Abubakari scored twice for Helsingborg in their 2-2 draw with Osters on Saturday.

Former Right to Dream Academy starlet Enock Kwakwa helped Falkenbergs to beat Varnamo 3-0.

In the third-tier league, former Inter Allies defender Saban Lawson was unused by Linkoping in their 0-0 draw at Karlslunds.

Elsewhere Grebbestads beat Myallby 3-2. Former Ghana U20 striker Prosper Kasim played for the ten-man Myallby.

TURKEY

In the Super Lig, Istanbul Basakesirpor won 1-0 against Konyaspor. And, Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah warmed the bench for the winners.

Antalyaspor and Trabzonspor shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Ghanaian attacker Caleb Ekuban, former of Chievo Verona, climbed off the bench in the 91st minute to play for Trabzonspor.

Sulley Muniru was introduced in the 75th minute by Yeni Malatyaspor when they won 2-0 against Galatasaray.

Bernard Mensah was in action for Kayserispor and helped them to a 2-0 win over ten-man Sivasspor. Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan was unused as he warmed the bench.

Attacker Andre Ayew was in action for Fenerbahce in their 3-1 home loss to Ankaragucu.

In the second-tier league, former Hearts of Oak attacker Mahatma Otoo was in action for Balikesirspor in their 0-0 draw at Giresunspor.

UNITED STATES

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Johan Kappelhof missed Chicago Fire’s 0-0 draw with DC United with suspension.

Bismark Adjei-Boateng was booked in the 66th minute and played 90 minutes for Colorado Rapids in their 2-1 win over FC Dallas.

Harrison Afful played 90 minutes Columbus Crew in their 3-2 win over Minnesota United. Central defender Lalas Abubakar came off the bench to play for Crew.  But Jonathan Mensah and Edward Opoku did not make the squad for the game while American international of Ghanaian descent Gyasi Zardesscored all three goals for Crew.

Attacker Ema Boateng played for LA Galaxy in their 3-2 home loss against Houston Dynamo.

Midfielder Ebenezer Ofori played just the last 2 minutes of normal time for New York City FC in their 3-1 win over Philadelphia Union. Ghanaian attacker David Accam is out with hernia.

Latif Blessing was introduced in the 46th minute and was substituted again in the 77th minute while playing for Los Angeles FC in their 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City.

In the USL Play off, Phoenix Rising won 4-2 against Swope Park on Friday night. Solomon Asante played 90 minutes but Gladson Awako was unused by the winners who had Didier Drogba in action.

AZERBAIJAN

Former Ghana U20 striker Kwame Karikari helped Neftci Baku to beat Qarabag 3-1.

BELARUS

Dinamo Minsk and Dinamo Brest split the points after drawing 1-1 on Sunday. Ghanaian forward Joel Fameyeh lasted 90 minutes for Brest while Seidu Yahaya also played for Minsk.

Former Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah played 90 minutes and was booked in the 72nd minute while in action for Gomel in their 1-0 loss to giants BATE.

CHINA

Winger Frank Acheampong scored but also missed a penalty for Tianjin Teda when they lost 4-2 against Shanghai Shenhua in the Super League on Sunday.

SWITZERLAND

St Gallen claimed a 3-2 win against FC Zurich and Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru scored the second goal and set up the third for his Zurich.
