Ghanaian international and former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate, Majeed Ashimeru is disappointed and heartbroken after Anderlecht loss the Belgium Cup final to KAA Gent.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder returned from injury to feature in the game but suffered a fresh injury 15 minutes into the game and had to be substituted.
He was heartbroken and sad after the match and couldn’t hide his frustration and disappointment after his team loss on penalties.
“This should have been a message of celebration and victory but sadly it isn’t! I’m gutted we disappointed you yesterday even though you lot stood with us every step of the way. We will continue to go fight to make you proud,” wrote the midfielder on Twitter after his side lost 4-3 on penalties.
