German lower-division side FC Gutersloh announced the release of Ghanaian defender Philimon Tawiah, ahead of the fresh season.
The defender leaves the club following the expiration of his contract.
Philimon Tawiah, 26, joined the German outfit in 2023, playing a significant role for the side in the last two years.
However, with the Regional League club heading in a new direction, they have decided not to extend his contract.
Sports World Ghana understands that, Philimon Tawiah, who is now a free agent, is likely to stay in Europe.
He is reportedly a transfer target of several clubs in the German lower-tier leagues and could land a move in the coming weeks.
