Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu was at his quality best in his first debut start for Southampton as they drew 1-1 against Chelsea in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The former Real Valladolid defender who joined the Saints in the Summer but had to wait until February 2021 to make his bow against Wolverhampton Wonderers FC in the FA Cup fifth round, enjoyed the full duration of the game.

Takumi Minamino who is on loan at Southampton from Liverpool scored first for the host before Mason Mount grabbed the equalizer for Chelsea from the spot in the 54th minute, ending the game one apiece at the St. Mary’s Stadium
