Ghana’s U-15 national team delivered a remarkable performance to lift the 2025 Mondialito Promise tournament trophy, defeating Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-1 in a dominant final display.
The young Black Starlets, under the guidance of Coach Yaw Preko, were outstanding throughout the competition.
After a strong start with two victories on the opening day, they carried that momentum into Day Two with a 2-0 win over Maccabi Petah Tikva, followed by a commanding 4-0 triumph over Hapoel Tel Aviv — results that sealed their place in the final.
Facing Maccabi Tel Aviv once again — the same side they had beaten in their opening match — Ghana showed no signs of slowing down. Goals from Robinho Gavi, James Ofori, Ebenezer Adjei, and Abdulai Aziz Issah put them in complete control of the game.
Although the Israeli champions managed a late consolation goal in the final minute, it did little to spoil Ghana’s well-earned celebration.
Winger John Andor, whose creativity and consistency stood out throughout the tournament, was deservedly named the Best Player of the competition — a fitting recognition for his standout performances.
The victory capped off a brilliant campaign for the young Ghanaians, who showcased not only their talent but also teamwork and determination.
