Ghana legend Tony Yeboah made big name at the German club, scoring 89 goals across five seasons ( 1990 – 1995).
The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes and in the penalty shootouts, the German club triumphed with only former Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey missing his kick for Rangers. All the other nine players converted their attempts successfully.

It was Frankfurt’s first European glory for over 40 years – since their last success in 1980 when they won the same competition then known as the UEFA Cup.
