Medeama SC delivered a stunning performance on Friday night, bringing Dreams FC’s eight-match unbeaten run to a crashing halt with a dominant 4-0 win at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium.
Forward Kingsley Braye stole the spotlight with a remarkable hat-trick, including a coolly taken penalty, as the Mauve and Yellow bounced back impressively from their narrow loss to Hearts of Oak in the previous round. Defender Mubarik Yussif also found the net from the spot, rounding off a clinical team display.
Braye’s three-goal haul marked a historic moment, as he became the first player to register a hat-trick at the recently inaugurated TnA Stadium — a personal and club milestone that highlighted his brilliant night.
Medeama took control of the match early on and maintained their dominance throughout. They enjoyed 63% possession and registered 14 shots, six of which were on target. In contrast, Dreams FC, who came into the clash with six wins and two draws from their last eight games, failed to gain momentum and managed just eight shots, with only three testing the goalkeeper.
The emphatic win lifts Medeama into the top four of the Ghana Premier League standings, providing a timely morale boost ahead of their upcoming fixture against Heart of Lions.
Meanwhile, Dreams FC drop to eighth and will be looking to return to winning ways when they visit Nations FC in their next match.
