Elmina Sharks beat Aduana Stars in their week four encounter in the Ghana Premier League at Elmina on Thursday night.
The fearsome Sharks recorded their first win of the campaign after going three games without a victory in the Ghana top-flight.
Visitors, Aduana Stars had few moments in front of goal but could not make the most of their advantages as they fluffed their effort on goal.
Former Aduana Stars player, Richard Mpong scored a bizzare goal on the 23rd minute to put his team in front straight from the corner kick.
Both teams came close to scoring in the second half but both goalkeepers were in a great shape as they denied the attackers any opportunity to register their names on the score sheet after Mpong’s first half strike.
Sharks handed Aduana their first defeat of the season as they secured their first win to go second on the league log after playing one game more than the other teams.
Aduana Stars on the other hand have an outstanding game against Accra Hearts of Oak which was postponed by the FA.
