Ghana skipper Andre Ayew has shared memories of the Black Stars maiden World Cup appearance in 2006.
Ayew, then a teenager with the U17 side of French giants Olympique Marseille says he was one of the boys who hit the streets following the team’s success.
“I was part of the boys running around, driving the car, blowing the horn crazy!” Ayew told SBS Sports.
Ayew made his Black Stars debut a year later and has gone on to earn 109 senior national team caps.
In all, he has played in two World Cups at senior level scoring two goals and providing two assists.
