The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed strong support for Ghanaian international Christopher Antwi-Adjei, who faced racial abuse during Schalke 04’s German Cup game against FC Lokomotive Leipzig.
The incident has been widely condemned, with the GFA stressing that racism has no place in football or society. In their statement, the Association praised Antwi-Adjei’s courage, saying he showed “incredible strength in the face of hate” and proved that dignity and character are more powerful than ignorance.
The GFA also called for a united fight against discrimination, demanding that every player be respected regardless of race, colour, or background.
“Football is about unity, football is about love, and football is for everyone,” the statement said, as the Association joined the global campaign against racism.
