Ghana international defender Alexander Djiku is excited about his side’s 1-0 win at home against AS Monaco during a Ligue 1 game on Wednesday night.
The Ghanaian started at the left side of the three-man defence of Strasbourg and did his job well till the 78th minute where he was replaced by manager Thiery Laurey.
Monaco defeated PSG back to back this season and so this is seen as a major win for the team of Djiku.
The Black Stars defender took to twitter and said : “We gave our all to claim these three points. They could not have escaped out” he wrote in French.
The 26-year old France-born has been a key part of the Strasbourg team this season as they move up the league table to a comfortable 14th position after 28 games played.
