Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of former Asante Kotoko midfielder Rocky Dwamena, with the 22-year-old putting pen to paper on a two-year contract. The deal was confirmed by sports journalist Mo Shaban, with an official club announcement expected in the coming days.
Dwamena, who featured for Dreams FC in the 2024/25 season, is widely regarded for his ball-winning abilities, composure on the ball, and vision in midfield. His arrival is seen as a major boost to the Phobians’ engine room as they look to mount a stronger challenge in the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
Sources indicate that Hearts of Oak moved quickly to secure the highly rated midfielder amid interest from several other Premier League clubs. The signing is part of the club’s aggressive transfer strategy this window, aimed at addressing key weaknesses exposed during last season’s inconsistent performances.
Dwamena is expected to provide increased competition in central midfield and offer tactical flexibility to the technical team, giving head coach Aboubakar Ouattara more options in both defensive and attacking phases of play.
The deal marks another significant addition to Hearts’ squad as they intensify pre-season preparations, with fans eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of their new signing.
