Gabon head coach Patrice Neveu says foreign clubs have no business preventing African players from representing their countries at the AFCON.
Neveu maintains that the FIFA laws must be obeyed and clubs must release their African players for the AFCON.
“Some members of my players are facing such difficulties. According to the statutes of FIFA, the clubs are obliged to release them. ” He told the Press in Gabon.
The Panthers are in the same Group with Ghana, Comoros Island and Morocco for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
