FC Ingolstadt Managing Director Sport and Communication Dietmar Beiersdorfer had commended the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpei.
The talented defensive midfielder is joining Ingolstadt from Bundesliga side Greuther permanently.
“With Hans Nunoo we are getting a player who is very good at running and tackling, who offers us new opportunities in an important position,” said Dietmar Beiersdorfer on the 23-year-old’s commitment.
Sarpei moved to VfB Stuttgart as a youth in the summer of 2016, but was unable to assert himself in Swabia. Since January 2019, he has been wearing the SpVgg Greuther Fürth jersey, initially on loan, before he was signed by the Kleeblatt in the summer of 2019.
Sarpei made a total of 64 competitive appearances for Fürth.
“We are convinced that it is the right solution for both sides. We would like to thank Hansi for his commitment, he always threw everything in for the cloverleaf and is part of our promotion team,” said Rachid Azzouzi, Managing Director Sport at SpVgg.
The Ghanaian international becomes the second player whose departure from Fürth is made public one day before Christmas Eve.
