Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah is on the verge of joining Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães in the coming days after FC Porto backed off negotiations with RB Salzburg.
The “Dragons” was seeking to sign the 22-year-old Ghanaian as a replacement for their left-back Alex Telles who was a target of Manchester United but the Brazilian has chosen to stay.

Mensah played on loan at Belgian club Zulte Waregem last season where he assisted two goals in eighteen Belgian Pro Jupiler League games

The budding Black Stars left-back whose contract with Salzburg expires on June 30, 2024, is also a transfer target of Anderlecht, Genk, Monaco and a host of other teams.
