Former Ghanaian international Harrison Afful has been appointed as the Vice President of Stars FC, a newly established club in the United States of America.
Additionally, Afful will serve as a member of the technical team for the youth squad.
Afful, renowned for his contributions as a right-back for the Black Stars, notably clinching the MLS title with Columbus Crew in 2020, brings a wealth of professional experience to his new role. In an Instagram post announcing Afful’s role, Stars FC praised his achievements on both the national and international stage, citing his pivotal role in Ghana’s impressive performances in various tournaments, including the African Cup of Nations and the FIFA World Cup.
“Harrison will be joining us as Club Vice President and also as a part of our coaching staff. Harrison brings many years of professional experience to the club. He has played in the MLS for 8 years with both Charlotte FC and Columbus Crew,” wrote the club on Instagram.
