Ghanaian forward Eric Ayiah has extended his stay with Portuguese second-tier club FC Felgueiras after signing a new one-year contract, the club confirmed.
The 24-year-old attacker, who joined Felgueiras on a short-term deal during the January transfer window, will now remain at the Dr. Machado de Matos Stadium through the 2025/26 Liga Portugal 2 season.
Felgueiras announced the extension via their official Facebook page with a statement that read:
“Did someone say unbalanced? Eric Ayiah continues in 2025/2026.”
Ayiah enjoyed an impressive half-season with the club, making 29 appearances across all competitions and contributing 5 goals and 3 assists. His pace, versatility, and work rate quickly made him a key figure in the squad, helping the club push for a strong finish in the 2024/25 campaign.
A former star of AS Monaco’s U19 side and Gil Vicente U23, Ayiah has continued to rebuild his career in Portugal after rising to prominence as captain of the Ghana U17 team, where he scored 3 goals in 10 appearances.
Despite his youth-level success, Ayiah is yet to make his senior debut for the Black Stars, but continued progress in Portugal could put him back on the radar of national selectors.
