FC Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu has named his striker Evans Osei Wusu as his 2023/24 Player of the Season at the Samreboi-based club.
The 23-year-old forward has netted 11 goals in 27 games, contributing significantly to Samartex’s historic first Ghanaian top-flight title.
“There were a few key players who were outstanding when I got there,” Amadu told Akoma FM. “Even though Evans was incredibly talented, his style of play was predictable until I gave him some coaching drills. He can now score more effectively in front of goal since then.”
Amadu also praised midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh, stating, “Emmanuel Keyekeh is also a very good player and has had a great season. It will be tough to choose, but I will choose Evans as my best player at Samartex.”
The Samreboi-based club secured the title with two games to spare after a 1-0 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday afternoon.
